Cat in ancient olive press.

Having a great time on this trip Anna has sent me on. Today at the old city of Capernaum this cat kept following us around. Note- we did not actually press the cat into evoo. But I thought anna would like to know that even in the holy land she will have lots of little fury friends to pet when we next visit.

Visiting Another's Holy Place

Started our day at the Western Wall. It was very interesting to be at a place that is so importent to others. I guess I felt like I couldn't quit get into the wall itself. But behind it in the courtyard I did resonate with two things. First, a series of six silver stars on a roof top with "Remember" written beyween them in memeory of those lost in the holocaust. And two, the story from our guide about the moroccan section of the old city whose families were kicked out and whose houses were demolished to make the courtyard/plaza we were standing in.

Interesting things to try and together in your mind.

Long day(s) of travel but well worth this first glance.

Getting ready for Israel. Anna gave this trip as a Christmas gift and has organized everything for it. Yesterday she came home with shekels and a power adapter. I'll be doing some twittering and blogging both here and at emergedetroit.org Praying for peace. Carl
